This easy 60-minute walk leads to the site of the first public school for African Americans in the 1870s, a tourist home listed in The Negro Motorist Green Book, the house where the Civil Rights movement was nurtured and more.

Directions and information about individual homes and buildings are available in a brochure which you may pick up at the Danville Museum of Fine Arts and History (975 Main Street) and at the Danville Visitors' Center (645 River Park Drive).
