Welcome to Cair Paravel Farmstead! Located 2000 feet up in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Our beautifully renovated 1.100 square foot woodland retreat has everything you could ask for: a romantic getaway for two or an escape for friends and family up to eight.
Amenities include full kitchen, bedroom with king bed, private soaking tub and shower; second bedroom with queen bed and private bath. HD TV with local stations, iPod docks, and a fire pit. A large screened porch with fans and hammocks for you to relax. Tumnus House is friendly to those with mobility issues, including a ramp onto decking, and ramp into main room.
We have a seasonal salt water pool and outdoor hot tub that are shared by registered guests.
Many of our guests enjoy hiking in nearby Shenandoah National Park. visiting nearby wineries and breweries, and exploring historical sites. You can hike into the Shenandoah National Park back country. Numerous trails on the 58 acres and in nearby SNP and PATC property,
Cair Paravel is a sustainable farmstead- organic gardening, dairy, poultry, sheep and pigs with the goal to maintain a minimal footprint upon the earth. Farm tours are available to our registered guests April through October.
