At the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown, explore 18th-century culinary practices of Virginia. On Friday and Saturday, Nov. 27 and 28, visitors learn about typical soldiers' fare during the war and trace the bounty of a Revolution-period farm from field to kitchen.
At Jamestown Settlement, a museum of 17th-century Virginia, visitors discover how food was gathered, preserved and prepared on land and at sea by Virginia's English colonists and Powhatan Indians. Traditional Thanksgiving dinner served at the Jamestown Settlement Cafe on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 26.
